Duration: 90-minute workshop
About the workshop:
When is the last time you have facilitated in-person? For many of us it has been at least a year. If you have facilitated in-person more recently, how different was it? How did you prepare the room? What pandemic precautions did you have to take or consider? Were all your participants in the room or did some participate remotely?
More and more, we are hearing our customers start to raise the idea of a “hybrid” approach to our events and workshops. If we’re being engaged for projects scheduled for the summer/fall or beyond, we’re likely being asked if we can be flexible to support either an in-person or a hybrid approach.
This workshop will be conducted in a roundtable format. We will explore these topics and more as we work together to define what it means to facilitate a “hybrid” event, identify some strategies for deciding how much virtual vs in-person vs hybrid work we want to do, and explore how to plan appropriately for the various approaches.
While there are likely more questions on these topics than clear answers, with our collective experiences and brain trust, we will at least come away with some things to consider the next time we are asked how we plan to support an in-person or hybrid event.
Learning Objectives
In this session, participants will:
Explore a variety of definitions for what “hybrid” event might mean
Examine our own preferences and interests for facilitating virtual, hybrid, and in-person workshops and events
Identify strategies for planning and preparing for in-person vs hybrid events
This is a 90-minute online workshop. It will take place from 12:00pm to 1:30pm EST.
