MAFN's November 5th Online Workshop: Knowledge Mapping to Build Connections, Solve Problems and Tap Collective Wisdom

  • 11/05/2021
  • 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
  • Online using Zoom

Registration is closed

Duration: 90-minute workshop

About the workshop

Professional associations must balance the inevitable tension of cooperation and competition. Members know that their colleagues are the ones who also really get what they do, who have valuable expertise, and who can be tremendous resources. But we also often don’t fully engage with peers because we fall into the trap of thinking, “We all do the same thing” or we see them as competitors.

This session will demonstrate some hands-on “expertise mapping” techniques. Participants will see how to productively tap into the wisdom of a (client) group while they also discover valuable connections within their facilitation network.

Learning Objectives

In this session, participants will:

  • See and use two “expertise/knowledge mapping” techniques.
  • Understand how and when to use “expertise/knowledge mapping” with groups.
  • Use “expertise/knowledge mapping” to network within your facilitator attendees to find valuable connections and expertise.

NOTE: This workshop will be recorded for distribution to all who register.

This is a 90-minute online workshop. It will take place from 12:00pm to 1:30pm EDT.
