Duration: 3-hour workshop (includes a little networking time)
About the workshop:
What if conversation truly is the medium for transformation? How do we make them better?
How do you skillfully interweave participatory practices so they support groups to stay together to get the good stuff done?
What are the key practices that can turn you into a well-seasoned host of emergent space?
The Art of Hosting & Harvesting Conversations That Matter (www.artofhosting.org) is an international practice field created to support ordinary people to host and harvest the conversations that matter most to them. It combines the methods of Circle, Appreciative Inquiry, Open Space, World Café and a focus on the Fourfold Practice, a map for practitioners about how to balance their personal practice.
In this workshop, we will delve into both the personal practice of the Art of Hosting and its practical application. We’ll ask you to be both participants and also practitioners, actively working as a field to create collective wisdom from our time together. Rather than focusing on the technicalities of the methods, we will focus on how they become potent partners in the dance of working well together.
Your host is Mary Alice Arthur (www.getsoaring.com/follow-mary-alice), an international steward of the Art of Hosting.
NOTE: This workshop will be recorded for distribution to all who register (breakout rooms will not be recorded).
This is a 3-hour online workshop. It will take place from 12:00pm to 3pm EST.
