MAFN's April 14th Online Workshop: Beneficial Synergies and Profitable Partnerships Among You and Your Facilitation Network

  • 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
  • Online using Zoom

Registration is closed

Duration: 90-minute workshop

About the workshop

How are we different as facilitators? Where do we overlap? Who would we hire or partner with? Who would hire you or partner with you?

Just as we wouldn’t dump people into a room and hope they’ll magically figure out strategic planning, neither is it effective to release people into a room and hope they’ll magically make the best connections. That’s the value of facilitated networking.

In this highly interactive, hands-on session we’ll demonstrate three practical facilitated networking techniques. And, in so doing, we’ll also aim to help you find beneficial synergies and profitable partnerships among your facilitation network.

Learning Objectives

In this session, participants will:

  • Learn three facilitated networking concepts to better connect participants.
  • Identify ways and places to add beneficial networking to your own facilitated sessions.
  • Expand your professional network in a meaningful way by adding valuable connections.

NOTE: This workshop will be recorded for distribution to all who register (breakout rooms will not be recorded).

This is a 90-minute online workshop. It will take place from 12:00pm to 1:30pm EDT.

Speaker:

Lee Gimpel runs Better Meetings, a meeting facilitation, training and strategy firm. The company works with associations, government agencies, and companies to improve their meetings and events. Lee’s meetings methodology is built on collaboration, engagement, and human-centered design. Much of the firm’s work leverages networking and connection-building, be that at cross-silo strategy sessions, team-building retreats, or large-scale industry conferences. He is the creator of the Conference Organizers Summit and leads a DC-area community of practice for facilitators. Often quoted about group engagement in such publications as The Guardian, USA Today, and HuffPost, he is also the contributing expert on meetings and facilitation for Forbes.
