Duration: 90 minutes
About the workshop:
This playful networking session challenges facilitators to mash up familiar techniques in unexpected ways.
Participants contribute techniques from their toolkit, then collaborate in small groups to remix them for randomly assigned scenarios (conflict mediation, board retreat, community forum, etc.). Through creative problem-solving together, you'll build connections with fellow practitioners, expand your facilitation repertoire, and rediscover techniques you thought you knew.
Equal parts innovation lab and connection space, this session proves networking doesn't have to mean small talk—it can mean making something new together.
Learning Objectives
In this session, participants will leave with:
Expanded Facilitation Toolkit: Discover creative adaptations of familiar techniques and leave with "remixed" methods you can immediately apply to your practice across different contexts (virtual, in-person, hybrid, high-conflict, large groups)
Meaningful Professional Connections: Build authentic relationships with fellow facilitators through collaborative creation rather than surface-level networking.
Enhanced Creative Confidence: Experience firsthand how constraints spark innovation and develop your ability to adapt facilitation approaches on-the-fly, a critical skill for navigating unexpected session challenges.
Best suited for: All levels
