Become an IAF Certified Professional Facilitator

Are you thinking about becoming a Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF), the gold standard of the facilitation profession?

The International Association of Facilitators (IAF) runs the rigorous CPF assessment process, and provides candidates the opportunity to describe and demonstrate their mastery of the core competencies for group facilitation.

Updated links to the IAF CPF process are coming soon.

Why Become a Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF)?

Benefits of Professional Certification

  • Be recognized by your peers as a true professional
  • Independent assessment of your skills and areas of improvement.
  • Stand out from the crowd – CPF is the differentiator in a crowd of vanilla facilitators.
  • Easily communicate your qualifications to current and potential clients.
  • Inclusion in the IAF and MAFN list of CPFs.
  • Be in demand as organizations and agencies start requiring CPFs in contracts.
  • Be included with other facilitation companies that only use CPFs to serve their clients.
The IAF's CPF accreditation process is a rigorous examination of your skills and experience as a facilitator. The process includes a comprehensive application, synopsis describing and demonstrating your competencies, interviews and a practical session in front of a highly skilled and certified team of assessors.
