MAFN Call for Facilitators is OPEN!
The MAFN Professional Development Team invites you to submit one or more proposals for the 2026-2027 workshop season, which runs from September 2026 through June 2027. Proposals are due by midnight, Friday, June 26, 2026. For 2026-2027, we are inviting proposals to facilitate online 90-min workshops, online multiple-session cohort learning series, and online facilitated networking opportunities. And we are always open to new innovative and creative options! Note: We are not seeking proposals for in-person workshops at this time. Program Descriptions
We invite proposals for one or more of the following types of programs: Single Workshops (Online)*:
Multi-Session Cohort Learning Series (Online)**:
** Since we know that these longer-term series commitments can be a significant investment of a facilitator’s time, MAFN offers a $200 stipend for facilitators who offer these types of learning cohort options. The stipend is for the team and can be split among team members if more than one facilitator. Facilitated Networking Opportunities (Online):
Other ideas?
If you would like to propose an alternative format or suggest an event that would help build community among MAFN members, please clearly articulate the value of the alternative format/idea in your workshop description when you submit your proposal. NOTE: Proposals are due by midnight, June 26, 2026. Be advised that MAFN events and workshops are NOT speeches or presentations. We are looking for highly engaging, interactive sessions – the kind that motivates participants to pay close attention and stay engaged. Your proposal must explain how you plan to make your session interactive. We encourage you to provide a link to a video that shows you facilitating or presenting a similar presentation so the reviewers can see an example of your facilitation style. Desired Topics for 2026-2027
We welcome content that covers a wide range of facilitation-related skills, frameworks, techniques, and processes. Our members have expressed interest in sessions on the following topics:
Please note that all online workshops are recorded unless special arrangements are made with MAFN when scheduling. Recordings will be emailed to workshop participants. Recordings for the single online workshops (except for networking events and series) will be posted to the password-protected MAFN website available to active MAFN members.
