Liminal Coaching uses a series of techniques and protocols from a variety of sources, including Solutions Focused Brief Therapy, modern studies in the use of daydream and REM states, Clean Language, cognitive science and the impact of metaphor. Liminal Facilitation is an emerging discipline which is applying principles and techniques successfully used in 121 coaching, to group facilitation. I'm grateful for the opportunity to present this developing approach and would welcome feedback and tips from this community.

We will cover:

  • Left and Right hemispheres. “If it can't be drawn, it can't be done”
  • Primitive Brain/Higher Brain. When new ideas or information trigger the threat response
  • What's been good? Priming for positive outcomes
  • Disruption, suggestion, learning and discovery. The Default Mode of the brain.
  • The treasure of unknowing. Preparing a team to discover new perspectives
  • Metaphor workshop and narrative development
There will be several invitations to participate in practical exercises.
