Please join Tanja Sarett and Laura Holbrook as they introduce you to Butter, one of the new "kids" on the virtual space block.  It's an all-in-one tool for workshops, trainings, team, or client meetings. It provides an alternative to Zoom in which you can create an inclusive, productive, and “chill” participant environment.

NOTE: Please plan to use your desktop or laptop.  Also, for the optimal experience use the Chrome browser (MS Edge is second best and Safari is OK.  Firefox isn’t a viable option.)

FACILITATORS for this session:

Tanja Sarett, MA, CFRE, CVF, is an onsite and virtual facilitator, trainer, executive coach, and fundraising consultant. She activates team-centered innovation and creative and synergistic solutions for visionary companies, organizations, and philanthropies. Tanja helps clients visualize complexity and bring their concepts, projects, and products to life. She specializes in optimizing outcomes in the virtual space and the 21st century distributed workplace. Tanja brings to her work with professionals and teams a wide range of collaborative and creative techniques and tools from IDEO Design Thinking, Liberating Structures, the Technology of Participation, and the Agile community. Tanja’s passion is to share new tools and techniques with fellow facilitators and colleagues and has hosted sessions on Mural, Spatial Audio Sites (Kumospace, Wonder, Spatial.Chat), and Butter. Tanja is an Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Master Trainer and a graduate of the Center for Executive Coaching. Laura Lazar Holbrook, MA, MLS, CVF, MMP, is a trainer, facilitator, and consultant.  For over 25 years, she has designed and facilitated customized retreats and training sessions for associations, non-profits, government agencies, and for-profits.  Laura specializes in unleashing participant energy, creativity and insights to advance professional growth and organizational effectiveness.  Whether the focus is on developing new skills, rolling out an organizational initiative, or enhancing team effectiveness, she brings versatility and flexibility to the table. Laura leverages her deep understanding of best virtual practices and an ever-expanding repertoire of tools to create environments in which participants can connect, share, and support each other to achieve results.  In doing so, she draws on Liberating Structures, Technology of Participation, simulations and other interactive strategies.  She's been enjoying her adventures exploring new meeting platforms and online tools.  Laura is also an active Mid-Atlantic Facilitators Network member, having recently served three years on its Board.  To learn more about Laura, check out herLinkedIn page.

  • Registration closes at midnight the day before the discussion group.

  • Registered participants will receive instructions for joining the live session and any additional details 1 day in advance and the morning of the event. Please be sure to look for the link in your email.

  • MAFN CoP discussions will not be recorded in order to support a safe space for learning.
