As we continue our exploration of facilitating discussions on equality, equity, and justice/liberation, we will explore the enhanced and unique needs for creating psychological safety in these settings, what unique barriers may exist, and share tactics for creating the safety needed for productive conversations on race. Session will be grounded in group discussion and peer learning and seek to create the space we are exploring about while focusing on our roles as facilitators in this process.
Content builds on previous CoP session, but all members are welcome to join regardless of previous attendance.
Please note that this is for MAFN members only and there is limited space, so please register early. Session will not be recorded.
Our guiding principles are:
Come open to learning (growth mindset)
Not expert led- hosted by peers with space to learn from all
Create a brave space to focus on race
Share our truth and also listen to others
Start with ourselves = focus on the “inner work”
Treat others with kindness & honesty
