As facilitators, what can we do when we lose power in a group due to one or more of our identities? What happens when power struggles are part of the client's culture? What about when people in our client groups lose power in a meeting due to one or more of their identities? How do we recover and regain power? How do we support others?
This workshop is an exploration of how to maintain composure and re-assert power when encountering issues of power and privilege. This is a conversation with colleagues, therefore please bring your challenges, quandaries, and ideas to this discussion. Once you’ve registered, you’ll be invited to share examples of losing power to use during this session.
Please note that this is for MAFN members only and there is limited space, so please register early.
Our guiding principles are:
If you register and cannot attend, please cancel to allow someone else to come.
