Duration: 3-hour workshop

About the workshop:

Teams and individuals are experiencing unprecedented levels of ambiguity and uncertainty, leading to dysfunction and burnout.

Teams thrive when team members demonstrate agility and resilience despite adversity and incomplete information.

Enter improvisation.

Through their Applied Improvisation program, Highwire Improv teaches foundational theatrical improv skills, including mental agility and resilience under pressure, to help teams work more creatively and collaboratively.

In this 3-hour workshop, you will learn practical strategies for using improv to infuse your engagements with energy, creativity and laughter. This is a ‘train the trainer’ event, whereby attendees will have the opportunity to facilitate exercises with one another.

Learning Objectives

In this session, participants will:

  • How to create and maintain psychological safety within a group

  • How to effectively facilitate improv-based exercises (including explanation, demonstration, facilitation and debrief)

  • How to navigate common challenges associated with using improv as a facilitation tool

NOTE: This workshop will be recorded for distribution to all who register (breakout rooms will not be recorded).
